Middle School Small Groups

7th and 8th grade are formative years...

...in a student’s life, and at this age they are looking to encounter God in a fun, relational, crazy way. Elevate exists to give students a safe place to explore their relationship with God by connecting students to each other and to leaders for these important years. What happens in our small groups is everything at this age, so we create intentional experiences and time for students to learn what that kind of community feels like.

At 10:00 AM on Sundays, through games, worship, teaching and small group time, middle schoolers will taste community and start to learn what it looks and feels like. Our volunteers love this age and are trained to walk with students through these two years by showing up in their lives and creating a place for them to belong.  Meet our awesome leaders here!

More friends. More joy. More money. More influence. More adventure. We all have things in our lives that we want more of. You could almost say we’re hungry for them. But at the end of the day, no matter how much we gain, we’ll always have a desire for more. Hunger is universal. Everyone feels it from time to time—some of us more than others. But I think Jesus knew that we would hunger for something else as well. That’s why, this week, we’ll conclude our If/Then series with Jesus’ statement, “I am the bread of life.” When you accept Jesus as the bread of life, it changes the focus of your hunger. Because if Jesus is the bread of life, then you can be satisfied.

Serve

God loves us so much...

That he did something about it—he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross. As disciples of God, we’re instructed to have that same attitude of love. In fact, the Bible says that if we love one another, all people will know we’re God followers. We also believe that middle school students have gifts and passions placed in them by God, so we encourage them to serve.

Middle school students can help lead small groups during weekend services in the Children’s Ministry in the following areas: The Gardens (0-2 yrs), The Cove (3-4 yrs), and JrQuest (K-2nd grade). Middle schoolers can also be techs in both KidQuest (3rd-4th grade), and Breakaway (5th-6th grade).
